Edward Elric
The stories main character and the elder brother of Alphonse Eric.
Edward, an alchemy genius, is the
youngest human in history to obtain the title of National Alchemist at the age of 12.
After losing his brother's body and his own leg at an attempt to rekindle the life of their mother, Edward risks his own right arm to trap his brothers soul in a large suit of armor.
From then on, their journey to retrieve their bodies back to normal takes place, and the only way to do so is to acquire the legendary "Philosopher's stone".
Alphonse Elric
The younger brother of "The Full Metal Alchemist" - Edward Elric. Alphonse is second to Edward in all terms of combat,
except for the fact that he is stored in an almost "un-penetrable" armor. He relies on the decisions and leadership of his elder brother. Alphonse understands Edward very well and is often too naive and soft.
Maes Hughes
One of the more down-to-earth characters in Full metal alchemist, a highly-ranked military officer and a devoted

family man. If not for Maes, the evil plotting of the Homunculus might have never been discovered
Roy Mustang
One of the most respected military units and a master of flame control via a special ignition glove. Roy is never seen

without his gun-wielding side-kick: Riza Hawkeye.
