Last Exile review
Last Exile was not something that was highly anticipated, but it was a series
that sort of grew on you as you watched it.
Animation: The animation for Last Exile is great especially when there in their
Van-Ships so many different angles and techniques are used while in combat with
smooth animations and fluid and actions. There is a lot of hidden detail in this
anime while the big ships are in a battle for example the Silvana against the
Urbanus Fleet there are a lot of hidden compartments for cannons and ramps for
the Van-Ships to take off and land.
Music: The OST for Last Exile is awesome I have two of the OSTs my self and it
is well worth it, the music is more of a classical fight style with the drums
and the trumpets as the anime is set in the past.
Style: Last Exile will not suit everyone as it is full of story, plot and
character development it may get boring at times for a few people but this anime
dragged me right into it after a few episodes.
Story: The basic story about Last Exile is that there is a war and two children
get involved and things start to get a little icky...
The main character is Claus Valca, he is a pilot of a Van-Ship that is used in a
message delivery service sort of like a telegram man. Claus has a sister Lavie
she is Claus' navigator while he is piloting the Van-Ship she is an essential
item in the development of the anime.
Overall:
The Negatives:
-The story can be a little too much for some viewers, not suited for everyone
-Not very funny at all, mainly serious
The Positives:
-It is full of story and it keeps you watching
-When you have watched all 26 episodes you will feel a sense of satisfaction
Overall: Like I said It is not suited for everyone Last Exile, but it is a good
watch for those of us who need a good story after all the new anime and games
have been just violence, violence and more violence.
Overall Score: 9/10
