Samurai Champloo review

The anime that had people eagerly waiting to watch as it was announced in Japan early 2004.
Samurai Champloo is directed by famous anime director Shinichiro Watanabe (same man who directed Cowboy Bebop and Cowboy Bebop : Knockin' On Heaven's Door (aka The Cowboy Bebop Movie).

Animation: This style of animation is certainly different from other anime that has been released, it is free flowing with no boundaries, the anime is heavily linked to Cowboy Bebop by its current style and general theme and feel of this anime. It is not any traditional method of animation with cute or exaggerated expressions.

Music: Samurai Champloo has got to be the first anime with Hip-Hop style music in with samurai fighting action that I have ever seen. The music fits in great with Mugen's fighting style as he flips and cuts his opponents into bits, the opening theme is not made to be catchy just memorable and unique and the ending theme is more of a serious look at the anime with a sad side to it.

Style: As I said before this anime is heavily influenced by Cowboy Bebop with the fighting and the animation styles and camera angles, the show has that unique quality that only some anime have.

Story: The story is Fuu, she's 15 but she looks like she's 21! she has made a promise with Jin and Mugen to help her find this samurai that smells like sunflowers she has been looking for, she is the control between the two other characters. The other two characters Jin, a quiet samurai who's skill in un-matched by anyone but Mugen. When it comes to rules or orders with a unique style of fighting, he is one of the main qualities of this show that keeps you watching.

-Uses a lot of new techniques for a anime some may not like
-Random at times

The Positives:
-The very first anime with Hip-Hop, break-dance style fighting and a homo-sexual Dutch man
-Animation style is unique to any other seen besides Cowboy Bebop

Overall: Samurai Champloo has lived up to the ranks of Cowboy Bebop, I have seen other anime but this flaws it so far as for new anime that has come out so far. This will be one of the greatest anime that will be released this year.
